Personal Social Health & Economic Education

We are working to develop the essential characteristics of children who are well developed to have the learning behaviours outlined below, for more detail on these please see the learning behaviours section on the website:

  • Resilience
  • Risk taking
  • Thinking
  • Respect
  • Reflect
  • Independence
  • Motivation/Active

PSHE is a non-statutory subject and therefore we have the flexibility to weave it into our wider curriculum with the purpose to equip children with a good understanding of risk and the ability to make safe and informed decisions. We use PSHE learning to add to current statutory content in the national curriculum including drugs education, sex and relationship education (non-statutory), physical education and diet for a healthy lifestyle.
