Children in Maple, Oak and Hornbeam classes have this week been part of a drama day where they learnt all the key facts of WW1. Working with the group Toot Suit, all children were involved in drama and acting in order for them to gain the knowledge they need to continue with their learning.
On Wednesday the same classes visited the local Sandham Memorial Chapel to look at the artwork of Stanley Spencer and how he depicted WW1. Children looked at photographs, handled artefacts, made orderly medic badges and spent time in the Chapel looking closely at the restored paintings. Thank you to all the parents who came along to help supervise the children.
