We had 7 keen netball players take to the courts on Thursday afternoon in Basingstoke. They were entered into a tournament at the last minute and three Year 4 girls even took up the challenge to take part in a predominantly Year 6 event.
Netball is an incredibly strict, rule-dominated game and the tournament saw many experienced teams enter who had clearly had many opportunities to play together. To top it all off the tournament was one where the players rotated positions and shooting direction every 4 minutes so everyone was extremely confused!
Having said that, the team did incredibly well: they worked together, communicating and passing effectively; they showed excellent growth mindset, as well as demonstrating our leaning behaviours; and they enjoyed themselves!
Well done to Alex, Dan, James, Myah, Anna, Olivia and Ella for all their hard work and enthusiasm, it was an honour to see them representing the school so well!
